LOS CHICHANOS

The band behind Edinburgh's legendary late night tropical Latin fiestas, Los Chichanos formed to heat up audiences across the UK with a pumping guitar-driven tropical Peruvian music movement known as “chicha”. Born in ‘60s Peru, the genre has experienced a worldwide boom in recent years amongst lovers of tropical parties, Latin music and late night dance hangouts and it’s clear why Los Chichanos go down so well on stage – full-throttled Latin percussion, iconic surf electric guitar-driven songs, jungle sounds, vintage Farfisa organ, dark psychedelia and all the raucous rhythms of live cumbia & salsa you could ever dance to!

It’s wild music at its sweatiest, performed live to make bodies move and minds travel. With members from Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Venezuela, Australia and the UK, Los Chichanos formed in Scotland in 2021 and have since been named Scotland’s #1 dance band for their infectious performances at UK festivals, clubs and venues.
